What a survey checks in Thornton Heath
- Flue routing complianceA new boiler's flue must exit to an external wall, which can be complex and may require landlord permission in a high-rise conversion.
- Landlord or freeholder consentInstalling or replacing a boiler in a leasehold flat almost always requires written consent from the building's freeholder or managing agent.
- Access to existing systemsThe existing boiler and pipework may be in a communal riser cupboard, requiring coordination for access and potential upgrade of shared connections.
