Finchley properties & boilers
Finchley's housing stock is predominantly 1930s semis, which typically require a boiler sized for a two-storey home with three to four bedrooms.
For homeowners in Finchley's 1930s semis, boiler replacement must account for the specific layouts and construction of these period properties. We offer a free survey to assess your Finchley home's exact requirements.
What a survey checks in Finchley
- Historic Flue RestrictionsThe brick construction of these period homes can make flue routing through a solid external wall more complex, sometimes requiring core drilling.
- Potential System UpgradeOlder central heating systems in these houses may need a full power flush and might benefit from upgrading to a sealed, pressurised system.
- Airing Cupboard LocationReplacing a back boiler or older regular boiler often involves utilising the existing airing cupboard space for the new system boiler's hot water cylinder.
